MAGMMA MUSEUM – COLLECTIONS

Urbino 3 November 2017 – With the exhibition at the Palazzo del Collegio Raffaelo in Urbino, the Marchionni Award 2017 was closed. The three itinerant exhibitions were set up as a prize for the first thirty selected for the 2017 edition; a prize that will be confirmed for the 2018 edition, with some novelties as an exhibition in the prestigious Hotel Le Palme in Porto Cervo in Costa Smeralda. The announcement of the new Call will be published on the official prize and on the web page. All this coincides with another significant news: the Magmma collection is enriched by a new donation. Herwig Maria Stark, Austria, selected artist among the finalists for the 2017 edition, donated the work “The Good-Wife”, a further testimony, as the author declares, of esteem and recognition for the activity that the Magmma performed through the Marchionni Prize. Director Walter Marchionni thanked Herwig Maria Stark, telling him that the work, like all the others, donated by the participants to the various editions of the Prize, is part of the 4th Section of the Museum , that dedicated to contemporary authors.
